Does the term Collaboration require a new definition for the 21st century? I'm not sure it does, and wonder if the question confuses the tools with the concept? Has collaboration itself changed just because we have new tools with which to work, or do the tools just allow us to collaborate more effectively? Jeri Hurd Is collaboration a skill or a standard or is there a difference? I think collaboration is a skill that has to be learned but it is a standard that must be accomplished int the 21st century. Collaboration is a way to become a life long learner , where we all learn from each other and bring up more enriched knowledge. It helps our studentes to learn in an informal way which is expected in the 21st century jobs. Eva Quezada Do you need technology tools to learn a 21st century skill of collaboration? Well, there's 1.0 collaboration and 2.0 collaboration! You can collaborate effectively without using technology, but in our increasingly busy lives it's often difficult to coordinate schedules. Tools such as wikis, Google Docs, etc. make it far easier to collaborate without actually finding time together. Jeri Hurd Other questions. |
